2025年8月10日，Michael Pastine参加了全球.退:党!服务中心在纽约举办的庆祝4亿5千万人退出中共党、团、队组织的集会，并分享了他对技术的独到见解——技术应当赋予人们力量，而绝不应该沦为控制与奴役的工具。Michael Pastine 演讲全文如下：
大家早上好！
今天能站在这里，与大家一起参与这场充满力量的集会，我感到无比荣幸。这是一个追寻真相的时刻，一个彰显勇气的时刻，一个在谎言与数字操控充斥的世界中，难得的清明时刻。
我在信息技术与高等教育领域工作了几十年，深刻体会到一个事实：信息就是力量。而当这种力量被压制、当真相被扭曲，人类自由的根基就会动摇。
中共早已意识到这一点。这就是它为什么要严密封锁网络、全天候监控公民、篡改历史、打压思想。在数字化时代，它的手段更加精密，但目的始终如一：通过控制信息，来控制人心。
然而，真相自有无可抗拒的力量。
今天，我们要为超过4.5亿勇敢的中国人致敬——他们主动选择退出中共及其附属组织，打破了谎言的围墙。他们是数字时代与精神层面的“觉醒者”，毅然决然地离开了一个将权力凌驾于人民之上、将控制置于良知之上的体制。
我们也要为“解体中共”全球联署活动而喝彩，目前已有超过500万人签名。这些签名，不只是名字，更是一个个有良知的声音，是任何技术都无法掩盖的道义坐标。
作为一名教育者，我一直告诉我的学生：在数字世界中，伦理、真相与自由不是附属品，而是根本原则。一个惧怕信息、封锁历史、监控人民的政权，并不强大，而是虚弱的——而它注定无法长久。
《·九·评*共产党》揭开了中共意识形态内部的腐败与虚伪，由此引发了一场巨大的觉醒。中共对此心怀恐惧——而他们确实应该恐惧。
让我们记住：思想的自由，是人类抵御专制最强大的“防火墙”。只要人们依然选择真相，就没有任何程序、任何监控系统、任何独裁政权能够彻底战胜人类的精神与良知。
谢谢大家，愿自由的火焰继续燃烧——无论在中国、在美国，还是在数字世界的每一个角落。

On August 10, 2025, Michael Pastine participated in a rally held by the Global Quitting the CCP Service Center in New York City to celebrate 450 million people quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the Communist Youth League, and the Young Pioneers. He shared his unique perspective on technology: technology should empower people, never become a tool of control and enslavement. The full text of Michael Pastine’s speech is as follows:
Good morning, everyone.
It is my great honor to join you today at this powerful rally — a moment of truth, a moment of courage, and a moment of clarity in a world often clouded by propaganda and digital manipulation.
As someone who has spent his career in information technology and higher education, I know firsthand that information is power — and when that power is suppressed, when truth is distorted, the very foundation of human freedom is threatened.
The Chinese Communist Party has long recognized this. That’s why it censors the internet, monitors its citizens, rewrites history, and punishes thought. In the digital age, their methods have evolved, but the goal remains the same: control minds by controlling information.
But truth has a power all its own.
Today, we celebrate over 450 million brave Chinese individuals who have made the conscious decision to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Each one of them has broken through the wall of lies. Each one is a digital and spiritual defector — walking away from a system that values power over people, and control over conscience.
We also celebrate the End CCP petition, now signed by over 5 million people across the globe. These are not just signatures. They are voices. They are data points in a moral movement that technology cannot suppress.
As an educator, I teach my students that ethics, truth, and freedom are not optional in the digital world — they are essential. A regime that fears information, censors its history, and monitors its people is not strong — it is weak. And it will fall.
The “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” exposed the ideological rot at the heart of the CCP. That exposure began a great awakening. The CCP fears that awakening — and they should.
Let this rally remind us that freedom of thought is humanity’s most powerful firewall. And as long as people choose truth, no algorithm, no surveillance system, and no dictatorship can win.
Thank you, and may the flame of freedom continue to burn — in China, in America, and in every corner of the digital world.
